New 12U Baseball Program Offers Additional Playtime

Due to the increasing demand for a higher level of competitive baseball, a new 12U team is forming in Somerset County. The team will be managed by RBIS baseball training center. Tryouts will be Dec. 15 and 22.

At RBIS, players have the chance to take part in a structured learning atmosphere that allows players in the Northeast to have the same advantages of year-round training that players from the South experience.

“It is our belief that every player is unique and there is no 'one way' for players to hit, throw, and pitch,” asserts Tim Ziakas Baseball/Softball Instructor and RBIS owner. “Our goal is to take each player and get the most out of his/her ability, not to mold each player according to our beliefs. Through these training sessions, our baseball and softball players will be introduced to skills that are often learned too late in their careers and, in some cases, not learned at all. We feel that implementing these conceptual ideas earlier in a ballplayer’s career will allow for a smoother and successful transition to higher levels.”

Players on this team will also be trained at Athletic Republic, a national leader in performance sports training. Their training is based on their TEST-TEACH-TRAIN philosophy, which utilizes a science based approach, proprietary technology and advanced sports specific training protocols give athletes a competitive advantage by improving their speed, power and agility.

The team will be serve youth in Bedminster, Bernards, Bernardsville, Bound Brook,Branchburg, Bridgewater, Far Hills, Franklin, Green Brook, Hillsborough, Manville, Millstone, Montgomery, North Plainfield, Peapack-Gladstone, Raritan, Rocky Hill, Somerville, South Bound Brook, Warren and Watchung.
