Bramnick Joins Sandy Relief Program at Stone Pony [Video]

State's 'funniest lawyer' helps Monmouth County Republicans and Democrats raise money for Sandy relief.

Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick, R-Union, who has been dubbed "New Jersey's funniest lawyer," appeared on Sunday at the famous Stone Pony night club in Asbury Park to raise funds for those who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Monmouth County Democrats and Republicans put their differences aside Sunday to help raise money for Hurricane Sandy Relief with a benefit concert at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park.

Called "United to Restore the Jersey Shore," the event was spearheaded by the Monmouth County Democratic Organization, the Monmouth County Republicans, the state's New Leaders Council and the New Jersey Young Republicans, among others.

"The road to recovery for the communities impacted by Hurricane Sandy is just beginning," Bramnick said. "This concert was one way we show our support in assisting those who were devastated by this catastrophe. This event, as well as everything else being done to help the impacted communities, was a bipartisan effort that had nothing to do with politics and everything to do with showing our compassion for those whose lives have been devastated by Sandy."

The event raised more than $80,000 for the New Jersey Hurricane Relief Fund, which was presented in a check to Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno.
