You Need To Know About High School: Watchung Hills Regional High School offers a lot of study and extra-curricular options for students, and parents of freshman students can learn more about what the school offers at the Freshman Parent Night, 7 to 9 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center (With power at the school out all week, be sure to check the school's website in case of cancellation).

You Need To Know About Special Places: The Bernards Township Library, at 32 S Maple Ave. in Basking Ridge, is hosting a series of movies with themes of places and identities including analysis and discussion with Morris County College Professor of English Kalyan Ray. Today's film, showing at noon, if the 1993 Vietnamese production "The Scent of Green Papayas." The program is free—and you can bring a snack or lunch.
