Bank's Donations Highlight Giving Plans

Wells Fargo branch helps raise money for local non-profits.

Warren's used its company giving programs to help support and , with two donations made Friday.

The bank presented checks for $300 and $1,000 to the Valerie Fund and the Arboretum, respectively, representing two programs offered by the bank to support local organizations.

The Valerie Fund donation stemmed from a program organized by the bank's mortgage rep, Stephanie Chu, who learned about from resident . Chu checked into a program Wells Fargo offers which will make a donation to a local charity on behalf of new or refinancing mortgage customers, which DiBari used to encourage a contribution to the fund.

"I went back to my manager and we set it up," Chu said of the ongoing program. 

The second donation, presented by Branch Manager Donna Aldredge to Wagner Farm Arboretum board member Meera Rao, is part of an annual donation the branch office makes to a local charity.

Aldredge said this marks the second year the bank has made such a donation.

"With all the environmental and children's programs they have going on, it matches up well with our beliefs," Aldredge said.
