It's a rare Monday night that either the township or regional school board isn't meeting, but thanks to the state-set calendar for school budgets, tonight is one of those nights.
In order to meet the requirement to submit a tentative budget to the county executive superintendent by March 7, the Watchung Hills Regional board moved its meeting intially scheduled for tonight to last week.
That also means this is one of those unusual weeks when no school board is meeting—but there will be plenty of local news nonetheless.
The Township Committee meets Thursday, and the Planning Board will meet tonight.
