Local Students off From School Due to Statewide NJEA Conference

Schools will be closed this Thursday and Friday.

The annual statewide New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) "teachers convention" is scheduled for this Thursday and Friday, and, as in many years past, students get those two days off from school.

Last year, the convention in Atlantic City was called off in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. However, many students remained out of school because of prolonged power outages, while some districts brought back their students during the previously scheduled days off to make up for some of the days lost to Sandy.
