Warren Library's Game Day Targets Late-Summer Boredom

Also, registration for Steve Levin's fall tennis classes is underway.

Here are things you need to know for today in Warren.

There is just over a week until school starts, and the kids likely are driving you crazy with, "I'm bored," and "There's nothing to do!" In fact, there is something to keep your children engaged, occupied and happy.  From 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., the Warren Township Library presents Summer Game Days. On Wednesday, all ages are welcome to escape the late summer swelter and play a variety of board games including Connect Four, chess, checkers and more. Board games will be set up throughout the children's area. (And don't worry, Mom and Dad. If they're bored again between now and Saturday, the game days go on through the end of the week. On Friday, the library closes at 5 p.m. and at 4.p.m. on Saturday.) Best of all, no pre-registration is required—and it's free. The library is located at 42 Mountain Blvd. For more information, call 908-754-5554.

Online registration for Warren Township Recreation Commission fall tennis lessons is underway. Classes for beginners through low intermediate and ages 4 through adult start Sept. 16 and run through October. The instructor is the municipality's official tennis instructor, Steve Levin. The course cost is $100 and classes take place between at theGreenwood Meadow tennis courts off of Liberty Corner Road and the Municipal tennis courts. Details aplenty can be found on the municipal website. That's where you can register for the classes. For more information about registration, call the Recreation Commission at 908-753-8000, ext. 270.  For details about the tennis classes, call Steve Levin at 908-338-3366.
