Warren Seniors Invited Tuesday to Make 'Better Food Choices' During Holidays

Free program on Tuesday morning.

Senior citizens from throughout Somerset County are invited to the Warrenbrook Senior Center's presentation on Tuesday morning on “Holiday Foods to Eat in Moderation” at the center at 500 Warrenville Road.

Nancy Rosa-Mejias, Program Coordinator, Family and Community Health Sciences, Rutgers Cooperative Extension, will discuss the subject starting at 11:10 a.m., according to information from the Somerset County Office on Aging.

The presentation is designed to help participants make better food choices during the holidays. The coordinator will take a look at calories and fats in some of the traditional holiday dishes that many enjoy at this time of the year.

For further information, call the center at 908-753-9440. The center is open on Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to the Office on Aging.
