'Witness for the Prosecution' Opens, Another Thursday Farmers Market

Watchung Hills thespians to stage fall play from Thursday through Saturday.

Even with an extended season, there will be only two more Thursdays of the year that the Wagner Farm Arboretum will hold its farmers market outdoors at the preserved farm off Mountain Road.

Some, but not all of the vendors, who were at the market during the summer will continue to offer produce, fresh food and other wares. The market is in session from 3 to 7 p.m.

Of course, if you order something for Thanksgiving, the final, final market day of the year will be the Tuesday before Thanksgiving — Nov. 26.

The market originally had been scheduled to close in early October but a continuing bounty and the willingness of vendors and customers to keep coming back kept it open for a longer season this year.

Watchung Hills High School fall play

Meanwhile, the fall drama performance at Watchung Hills Regional High School will be Agatha Christie's "Witness for the Prosecution," to be staged at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at the school's performing arts center at 108 Stirling Road in Warren.

Tickets may be purchased online.
