Classic Broadway with a Twist @ Long Hill Library

The Long Hill Township Library invites you to take a musical journey to the footlights of Broadway as Nina Deutsch performs “Classic Broadway with a Twist” on Sunday, April 6 at 2 pm. The concert is free and open to the public. The Long Hill Township Library is located at 917 Valley Rd, Gillette, NJ.

Ms. Deutsch, an accomplished pianist, brings to life the music and personalities of great Broadway composers, including Gershwin, Rodgers, Kern, Berlin, Porter, Bernstein and Hammerstein. This program will include classic favorites such as Tonight, Maria, The Sound of Music, Always, Can’t Help Loving Dat Man and many others. Nina will also share interesting biographical details about the composers. Audience participation is encouraged! 

Ms. Deutsch is a graduate of the Juilliard School in New York City and Yale University, New Haven, Conn., and has performed as a soloist in concerts and recitals throughout the world. Her name has appeared on the programs of Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the United Nations and Wigmore Hall in London. She has appeared on NBC, CBS, and BBC television and been heard on the Voice of America and Bloomberg Radio as well as Shanghai and Peking Radio. 

The concert is sponsored by the Horizons Speakers Bureau of the N.J. Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
