ARTIST SIGNING CALENDARS AT WINTER HOLIDAY FESTIVAL

Sunday, December 8, 2013

BASKING RIDGE, NJ – The Friends of Lord Stirling Stable (FLSS) will present the 15th Annual Holiday Festival on Saturday and Sunday, December 7 & 8, 2013 from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Featured at the Festival will be the debut of the organization’s 2014 calendar, “Unbridled Days,” featuring horse portraits by celebrated photographer Haruko. The calendar showcases school horses frolicking, socializing and enjoying their free time.

The Festival will take place at the Somerset County Park Commission Lord Stirling Stable, 256 South Maple Avenue in Basking Ridge, NJ.

Haruko is an internationally published, award-winning photographer based in New York City. Formerly a photojournalist and corporate photographer, she specializes in capturing animals and the culture that surrounds them.  She is also an equestrian and often rides at Lord Stirling Stable.

Haruko will be signing calendars at the Holiday Festival on Sunday, December 8 from 11AM – 12PM.

Proceeds from the calendar sales will benefit the FLSS School Horse Retirement Program, which cares for Lord Stirling Stable’s retired lesson horses until they can be adopted into loving "forever” homes.  The Retirement Program is celebrating its 10th anniversary this month.  To date, 43 former lesson horses have been adopted.

The festival is organized and run by FLSS volunteers, and it’s a wonderful way for the whole family to welcome the holiday season with hay rides to Santa's house (weather permitting), free pony rides, a Silent Auction, gifts, food, and more.

The Friends of Lord Stirling Stable is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working with the Somerset County Park Commission to support the activities of Lord Stirling Stable through contributions of ideas, time, and revenue.  Please visit their website at www.flssnj.com for further information.  To learn more about Haruko, please contact her at yes@harukopix.com.
