Community Corner

Laugh Out Loud @ the Library

One of the best things about summer is that there are all kinds of surprises in store for the community at the library! The Long Hill Township Library invites you to Laugh Out Loud at the Library with a Comedy Show on Sunday, June 22 at 2pm. The Comedy Show is free and open to the public. The Long Hill Library is located at 917 Valley Road, Gillette, NJ.

Jane Mullooly, a local comic from Gillette NJ, will be joined by fellow comics/storytellers from New York for an afternoon of fun and laughs at the library. Jane has always craved an audience in one way or another and has satisfied the craving at work as a teacher/trainer or as a hobby doing theatre, improv and stand-up comedy. Jane's irreverent sense of humor is exacerbated by her down-to-earth style and Northern English accent.

Dan Colgan from NYC blends his love of music with his many and varied life experiences. It all started when he was born - the youngest of ten in an Irish Catholic family. The rest, as they say, is history.

Erin Whalen's take on daily life in NYC will cause you to never view what you thought were everyday things in quite the same way again. Her candid view of life brings a fresh and funny perspective on the day to day. Erin is the new normal.

Nhu An Do is a recovering financial analyst. Her therapy entails performance stunts such as storytelling, singing her songs and freaking her family out with her threat to come out as an artist. She is a Moth story slam winner and she combines her ukulele with story-telling to create a unique performance that is both poignant and funny.
