Annual Warren Bonfire Heats Up a Cold Saturday Night

Local families come out for sixth annual event, despite chill.

Freezing temperatures didn't stop hundreds of Warren residents and those from neighboring towns for the popular annual Yuletide bonfire, which this year was scheduled to have the addition of fireworks and also a special appearance by Take Flight Dance Center from Millington.

The Ryan Tunney Band from New Providence provided live music. Township police helped direct traffic and safely cross people on Mountain Boulevard to the bonfire, which was behind the Town Hall.

The Warren Township Fire Department lit and managed the bonfire, and firefighters and EMS volunteers — as well as other local organizations — provided activities.

Free hot chocolate was a popular drink for the evening.

The Warren Township Committee and Recreation Department also offered thanks to partners in the event:
