'Beatlemania' Alum Alan LeBoeuf to Headline Reunion

'All Years' Watchung Hills reunion also featuring Bob Marino, and the Bob Lanza Blues Band.

Watchung Hills Regional alumni organizing Saturday's "all years" reunion announced two more reasons for others to join: proceeds will be donated to the U.S. Marine Corps' Toys for Tots program and fellow alum Alan LeBoeuf will be performing.

LeBoeuf is a featured singer for the country western group Baillie and The Boys, which recorded seven Top 10 country music hits and have been featured on The Nashville Network and at the Grand Ole Opry.

The bass playing LeBoeuf also boasts several stints in Beatles cover bands, including Rain and Beatlemania, in the part of Paul McCartney. He also performed a four-year engagement at EPCOT, Walt Disney World, Fla., with "The British Invasion."

He continues to perform for different venues all over the United States, Canada, and occasionally overseas. His background vocal credits include Randy Travis, Dan Seals, Moe Bandy, The Ramones, Marie Osmond, Anne Murray, Lynn Anderson and Marty Stuart, and recording credits with The Wrecking Crew.

LeBoeuf joins Warren Township's Bob Marino and the Bob Lanza Blues Band (Bob Lanza, Tino Dapolito and Sandy Joren). Lanza was recently inducted into the New Jersey Blues Hall of Fame. Also participating will be Herb Sudzin, host of Sudzin Country on 88.7 FM.

While the musical entertainment alone is worth the $20 admission (which also includes a drink ticket and coupon for a return visit to the Colorado Cafe, where the reunion will be held), participants will also be helping support the Marine Corps' Toys for Tots program which will receive the proceeds of the event.

Organizer Tom Castronovo said about 150 advanced tickets have been sold through Sports Minded Unlimited (operated by Alan's brother, Brian LeBoeuf) and the Colorado Cafe. Tickets will be sold at the door, too.

"The excitement's there," Castronovo said. "We just don't know how many people will be there, but we think we we will have a good crowd."

And while there, he said, old friends can catch up, share "storm stories," and enjoy the music.

"I think it's going to be a lot of fun," he added.

The reunion will be held from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Colorado Cafe in Watchung.
