Hundreds Turn Out for Annual Yuletide Bonfire

Crowds enjoy outdoor activities during community event.

After two postponed dates, the Warren Townsip annual Yuletide Bonfire drew a crowd of several hundred to the municipal park, Saturday night.

"It's a wonderful event," Township Committeeman Mal Plager, who acted as master of ceremonies to open the event. "Look at all the people here—they have to want to be here to come out tonight."

The chilly air didn't diminish the enjoyment and fun crowds had ice skating, or taking a ride in a horse-drawn carriage. Musical entertainment by Bob Marino, followed by The Frets, echoed throughout the park, while smoke wafted from the bonfire, the pavilion fireplace, and campfires set up for roasting marshmallows and making s'mores.
