Centennarian's Advice: Be Kind and Watch Out for the Slick Pages [VIDEO]

Warren resident Sam Cahoon enjoys special recognition at Township Committee meeting.

Warren resident Sam Cahoon recently celebrated his 100th birthday, an event Warren Township officially recognized at Thursday's township committee meeting.

During the recognition, Cahoon, a decorated World War II veteran, offered his advice for longevity, as well as recollections from his years working for the Sears and Roebuck Co. catalog department.

The committee purchased a cake to celebrate Cahoon's birthday, and while he made the first cut to the cake, he accepted an offer to take the cake home to enjoy later.
