Chelsea Fundraiser Gives $1K to Rescue Squad, Fire Police

Presentation follows annual golf outing.

Following the recent annual Chelsea Senior Living golf outing, the Chelsea at Warren donated $1,000 to the Warren Rescue Squad and Warren Fire Police.

The Chelsea golf outing, held each year at Fiddler’s Elbow Golf Club in Bedminster, benefits volunteer emergency responders in all the New Jersey communities in which Chelsea has residences.

The donation was presented to representatives of the groups following the Sept. 25 outing, during the awards lunch following the tournament. Among those attending were Jill Hamlett, executive director of the Chelsea; Melanie Varnerin, Chelsea's director of commuity relations; Warren Mayor Carolann Garafola—who is also executive director of the new special needs residence, Mt. Bethel Village, under construction on Mt. Bethel Road; Paul Rapps, president of the Warren Rescue Squad and Ken Philips, captain of the Warren Fire Police.

Chelsea Senior Living operates 15 residences in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania that offer quality assisted living with specialized care for residents with memory impairment.
