A Warren couple is seeking a small English setter named Daisy, missing since Dec. 26, with their concern growing as snow approaches on Thursday afternoon.

The pet had been dragging a leash behind her when she went missing on that day, said John Penek, of 5 Stonehedge Court in Warren. She has a collar, but that may have slipped off, he said.

He said that he and his wife Barbara are even more worried now that a storm is due to hit.

Answers to name

The couple described is an 8 year old smallish English Setter who loves to run and could be anywhere. "She is very friendly and answers to her name," according to information from the couple.

The dog weighs approximately 35 pounds, John Penek said.

The dog is neutered, but not chipped, the couple said.

Reward offered

According to the couple, they are offering a cash reward for the return of their pet. They asked that they be reached any time at 973-906-5929.

I hope this is unrelated, however I did see a body of an animal on the side of the road when coming up Doc Watch Hollow this morning. I has seen Daisy's flyer in my mailbox so it crossed my mind. It was not a deer and would have been large for a fox but was a light neutral color. I didn't realize the dog lived on Stonehenge or I would have investigated further. The body was almost opposite where I was turning left to go onto Blazier Road coming up Doc Watch from ALT school. Hopefully it is not her. Alyson

That is a dead fawn on the side of the road and not a dog. We have an English Springer Spaniel and have been watching for Daisy ever since we saw the notice.
