Farmer's Market Coming to Wagner Farm Arboretum

Township Committee gives nod to plans for produce stand.

For decades, Warren residents enjoyed fresh products produced at Wagner Farm—and this summer, they'll be able to again enjoy fresh produce from the site...sort of.

Wagner Farm Arboretum got encouragement to open a farmer's market at the March 14 Township Committee meeting.

"With that location, it looks like a great idea," Deputy Mayor Gary DiNardo said.

WFA President Suzanne Smith said many of the details for the market haven't been decided yet—including hours and the starting date—but the area between the children's garden and the community garden will host any interested vendors.

Smith said two vendors have committed to participating at this point.
