Get a Leg Up on Dancing at Art Center's Open House

Enjoy professional dancing—then sign up for classes.

You Need To Know How To Cha-Cha: It may or may not be on the agenda, but you can find out if the Watchung Arts Center's upcoming ballroom and Latin dance classes are right for you at tonight's open house from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. The open house will feature performances by Sergei and Olga Bezrodnov.

 

You Need To Know "The Wiz": Enjoy this popular musical adaptation of "The Wizard of Oz" this weekend, performed by the Front & Center for Performing Arts at the Ridge Performing Arts Center, 268 S. Finley Ave. in Basking Ridge. Enjoy shows at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, as well as 1:30 p.m. matinees Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $20 and $25, and can be reserved online on the center's website, or at the door.

You Need To Know Clutter Free: For some of us, it's an elusive dream—and if you've been challenged by clutter, head to the Warren Township Public Library at 1 p.m. Saturday for a special presentation by author Jamie Novak. You may have seen Novak on HGTV or QVC programs—she's also a blogger for Martha Stewart's Whole Living website.

You Need To Know Deep Thinkers: Sunday's panel discussion of ethical choices in modern medicine and law will provide some challenging questions for discussion. The panel will undertake the discussions at 11 a.m. at Temple Har Shalom—it's free and open to the public.

You Need To Know Baseball Beginnners: Baseball players under nine years of age can tryout for the Warren Baseball Softball, Inc. spring teams, including a travel team, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Woodland School.
