You Need To Know Last Day to Register For AP Tests: Last year, 456 Watchung Hills Regional students took Advance Placement tests—school officials encourage more to take the exams, but those who haven't aready registered need to do so today. Stop by the Guidance Department to make sure you're set for the tests you want to take.

You Need To Know Small Art: Try to explain this to the little ones (like teens): back in the 'olden' days, before the Internet and World Wide Web allowed instant and free written communication, people used an insanely slow and methodical method known as "letter writing" for long distance communiciation. To send someone a "letter," one had to place it in a small envelope and add a small, colorful and foul-tasting decal—called a stamp—to the envelope. After they give you the "Yeah, right" look, take them to the Westfield Stamp Show, which opens at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Westfield Municipal Building, at 425 E Broad St. in Westfield, where thousands of the stamps collected by the Westfield Stamp Club will be on display. Unlike postage stamps, the show is free.
