Winter Ponding
Where/When: Lord Stirling Environmental Center, Basking Ridge, Wednesday, 4 to 5:30 p.m.
Why go: Children ages 7 to 9 can explore what's going on beneath the snow and ice on the ponds.
Pricing: $9 per person

Mini-Mammals
Where/When: Lord Stirling Environmental Center, Basking Ridge, Thursday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Why go: Children ages 2 to 3, along with a parent, can learn about mini-mammals with the theme of "Playin' Possum." The event also includes activities, crafts and a story.
Pricing: $10 per child/parent, $5 each additional child

Mardi Gras Masks
Where/When: Warren Township Library, Thursday, 6 to 8:30 p.m.  
Why go: Children 3 and older can create Mardi Gras masks. No registration required.

Polar Bear Day
Where/When: Lord Stirling Environmental Education Center, Basking Ridge, Friday, 4 to 5:30 p.m.
Why go: Children ages 4 to 6 will learn interesting facts about polar bears.

Frozen Fiesta

Why go: Children ages 7 to 9 can learn about animals from the southern hemisphere.

Lowes Build and Grow Clinic
Where/When: Lowes, Hillsborough, Saturday at 10 a.m.
Why go: Children learn how to build a pull back race car. Each participant will receive an apron, goggles, a project-themed patch and a certificate.

46 Circus Acts in 45 Minutes
Where/When: The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College, Branchburg, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.
Why go: A contemporary circus from Brisbane, Australia will feature performers who will fly, juggle and balance while battling the clock.

Torah Tots
Where/When: Temple Har Shalom, Warren, Sunday, 9 to 10 a.m.
Why go: An educational introduction to Judaism program for children ages 3 to 5 and their parents that will include singing, movement, crafts and food.
