Kids Line Up to Join Easter Bunny's Parade

Township's annual bike and wagon parade and Easter egg hunt held Saturday.

Contestants in Saturday's township bicycle parade, , led to some creative decorations.

With categories for the "most creative," the "funniest" and the "prettiest" up for grabs, conetstants and their parents put in a lot of effort. As for the prettiest, 5½-year-old Gina Mort claimed the top prize. Joseph Pontoriero claimed the funniest award, and the team of Haylie Billerman and Kaylee Johnson presented the most creative entry.

High Gear Cyclery, of Stirling, donated a bicycle, valued at $300, which was raffled and awarded to Sophia Smith, a six-year-old Woodland School student.

Other prizes awarded included fishing poles, donated by the Warren Blue Ridge Sportsmen Club, to David and Grace Scali, students at , and Grace Martin, a student at .

This marked the fourth annual Easter egg hunt and bicycle and wagon parade sponsored by Warren Township. The Recreation Commission recruited volunteers Shannon Semmling, Hayley Deutsch, Taylor Vitelo, Emily Bintley, Amy Hu, Marlise Moesch, Cynthia Moesch, Jenna Ramunno, Win Winter, Diane Pasi, Michele Rainer, Kathy and Allison Winter to help, who along with Gary Dinardo and Recreation Commission members Brielle La Costa, Irene Dipietro, Dave Pasi and Cindy Webster, made sure the event was successful.

The event also received donations from (baskets for the hunt), (buckets for contestants filled with fun stuff), Jersey Men’s Football (the Bunny Tower), (Stuffed Bunny), Henry’s Jewelers, in Basking Ridge (tiara), Foxy Salon & Spa, in Basking Ridge (tiara and berets), and Bounce U, in Warren, which donated 100 free passes.
