NJ1015 contest included high school, middle school and elementary winners.

Watchung Hills Regional's Music Department's vocal ensemble will receive a $1,000 boost after the school's entry in NJ101.5 FM radio's Christmas Choir contest won the high school category.

The third annual contest's winners were announced Friday, and the station said more than 100,000 votes were cast in the contest.

"I'm thrilled at this opportunity to showcase the talent of my students to such a large audience," Angela DiIorio, director of vocal music at Watchung Hills, was quoted in a blog post by Carl Bird. "I'm happy the rest of the state is now able to recognize and hear the work we've been doing at The Hills."
