Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County is recruiting volunteer tutors to teach literacy skills to adult learners. Tutors receive 15 hours of training in basic literacy and English for speakers of other languages over five sessions, according to nj.com.
Upon completion of the training, tutors are matched with an adult learner. They meet once a week for tutoring sessions, normally at a local library, according to nj.com.
