Several substantial donations to Warren Schools on tonight's Board of Education docket.
You Need To Know There's No Planning Board Meeting: The Planning Board has scheduled its final meeting of 2011 for 7:30 p.m. tonight, but the meeting has been canceled.
You Need To Know About School Helpers: When the Warren Township Board of Education meets at 7 p.m. tonight at Woodland School, board members will approve several significant donations to the district, including nearly $7,000 from the Mt. Horeb PTO for two smartboards, $1,800 from the Watchung Hills Municipal Alliance, and the annual donation from the Watchung-Warren Rotary Club of dictionaries for every third-grade student in the district.
You Need To Know Caroling for Cans: A group of Watchung Hills Regional students will be in the Clover Hill neighborhood of Long Hill today, between 2:40 p.m. and 4 p.m. They'll be singing Christmas carols and holiday songs in exchange for donations of canned food items to donate to area food banks. If you hear the music, be sure to give a few cans. If you're not in Long Hill today, you can always take donations of food to the school.

A record number of kids signed up this year—almost 50 percent more than last year, so it will be an exciting season.
