Once More, With Gusto

When the audience misses out on a concert, this concert comes to the audience.

Residents at the Watchung Ridge Assisted Living residence in Watchung are regular fans of the concerts scheduled by the Warren Township Recreation Commission.

But when a flu outbreak the residents from joining the March 26 concert at Stonecrest Community Church, featuring Warren crooners Bob Marino, Barbara Lawson and Joe Ceriserano, Marino and Lawson decided to take the concert to the residents.

And on March 31, they performed for about 55 of the facility's residents, singing classics such as "Volare," "Embraceable You," and "I Love Only You," which had many in the audience singing along. Watchung Ridge manager Anna Sorrentino said she was very happy the performers could come to the center, but as the photos show, the residents were also very happy.
