Ready for Saturday's Bonfire?

Annual event offers entertainment and community fun!

The township's fourth annual Yuletide Bonfire is set for 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday in the municipal fields off Bardy Lane, with a growing list of participating sponsors.

Intended as a fun way to dispose of Christmas trees while building community strength, the social event draws hundreds for a night of fun.

Mayor Carolann Garafola will kick off the event with a special note of recognition to Girl Scouts, honoring the centennial of the organization. Musical entertainment, sponsored by NJ Swim, will bgin at 6:30 p.m. with The Michael Craig Band, followed by the Ryan Tunney Band.

Refreshments, including hot coffee, hot dogs and chicken nuggets, will be provided by Who Let The Dawgs Out; and carriage rides will be offered, courtesy of Kidtopia and the Learning Experience.

Others contributing to the program include Warren Blueridge Hunting Club, Warren Township Lions Club, Forest Lodge, StarBucks, Cub Scout Pack 182, Girl Scout and Brownies Troops, Pop Warner Football/Cheer, Anderson Arbor Care of Martinsville.

Also helping assure a great event are the Warren Township Committee, Warren Recreation Commission, Warren Fire Department, Warren Rescue Squad, Warren Police Department,  Warren Township Fire Police, Office of Emergency Management and the Department of Public Works.
