Round Up Used Toys For School's Project

Today marks the anniversary of the "Shot Heard 'Round the World"—the battle at Lexington Green, Mass., that began the Revolutionary War. On April 19, 1775, Massacheusetts militiamen fought about 700 British Army soldiers; badly outnumbered, they fell back to Concord, where reinforcements bolstered their numbers and turned the tables on the British.

You Need To Know About Toys for Others' Tots: The Mt. Horeb Service Club and Student Council are collecting gently-used plastic toys to donate to Second Chance Toys, an organization that rescues and recycles unwanted plastic toys for needy children, and Helping Honduras, an organization that cares for needy children. Drop off items from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today and 7:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
