Community Rallies for Warren Twp. Man Paralyzed in ATV Accident

More than $16K raised to help offset medical costs for Quaid Mobus who was paralyzed from the neck down.

A crowd-funding site set up last week to help offset medical costs for a Warren Township man who was paralyzed during an ATV accident last month had already raised more than $16,000 by Tuesday afternoon.

The initial goal of the effort was to raise $5,000 to cover expenses incurred when the ATV Quaid Mobus, 21, was riding hit a tree the night before his sister's wedding and left him paralyzed below the neck, reported NJ.com.

Donations will be used to help provide Mobus, who graduated from Watchung Hills Regional High School in 2010, equipment he will need to transition to a new way of life that will include a specialized wheelchair, a vehicle capable of transporting his wheelchair and modifications made to his house, according to the fundraising site on Indiegogo.com.
