Temple Set to Celebrate Mountain Top School Anniversary

Final event—Touch-a-truck for kids—rescheduled.

In honor of Mountain Top School’s 18th Anniversary, Temple Har Shalom offers congregants, Mountain Top families and community members the opportunity to participate in a weekend full of exciting programming.

“The 18th Anniversary of Mountain Top School exemplifies Temple Har Shalom’s commitment to providing a first-rate Jewish and academic education to children in our community,” said Rabbi Randi Musnitsky. “From generation to generation, Mountain Top School teaches young children about Jewish traditions, culture and values.”

The weekend-long celebration kicks off on April 20 with a Friday night Shabbat service that will bring together past and present Mountain Top families and teachers. The service, which begins at 7 p.m., will honor past and present directors, teachers and parent committee chairs of the early childhood school and conclude with an Oneg sponsored by the parents of current Mountain Top children. Additionally, Temple Har Shalom’s junior choir will be singing during the service.

The Temple will host its Atlantic City Boardwalk Casino Night fundraiser at 7 p.m. April 21. The fundraiser will include a catered Kosher cocktail-style dinner, drinks, professional gaming tables, live music and a Chance Auction with amazing prizes. Tickets can be purchased through the Temple Website for $90/person.

The final event of the weekend, Touch-a-Truck, will take place on April 29 (rain or shine) at ’s field in Warren from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This fundraiser will provide a safe environment for children of all ages to explore various vehicles while interacting with community leaders, such as police officers, firemen, and other emergency response professionals. Some of the many trucks scheduled to participate in the event include a fire truck, police car, ambulance, construction vehicle and an ice cream truck. Admission is $5 per person with children under 12 months free or $20/family.

“Mountain Top School has been the premier early childhood center in Somerset County for 18 years because of our highly academic curriculum, devoted teachers and commitment to Jewish education,” said Kathy Sang, Mountain Top School director. “We are very confident Mountain Top will continue to flourish and enhance the lives of many preschoolers in our community.”
