UPDATE: Time for Football

Warriors travel to Hillside for a scrimmage tonight.

Two sports events listed for today were incorrectly reported. The football game will be played at 7 p.m. at Tozier Field, and the girls soccer team will play at 4 p.m. on the turf field.

Will life return to normal today? Let's hope so—additional crews were working in Warren yesterday, but we'll check around to see where lines are still down.

You Need To Know Varsity Sports: There are other sports besides football, and several Watchung Hills' varsity teams are playing today. Head to the school this morning for a 10 a.m. boys' soccer match against Linden, while the girls will take on Governor Livingston High School at 4 p.m. The girls volleyball team was also scheduled to play Union High School at 10, also, but the game was rescheduled ... for yesterday.

You Need To Know Fall Programs for Grownups: If the library is able to open today, stop by to register for the great programs they have planned for the fall, including a workshop on online job hunting, ghost hunting and antique appraisals. There are many programs—view the schedule here—and some are sure to fill up early.

You Need To Know Football Kickoffs: The Watchung Hills Regional High School Warriors will test their mettle in a scrimmage against Hillside High School at 7 p.m. at home. Stop by the game to watch the team get ready for the new season, opening next week at North Hunterdon.
