Trinity United Church Sets June 2 Rummage Sale

Unsold goods will go to United War Vets Council.

is getting on the environmental bandwagon, as its members have set their fourth annual rummage sale for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 2. 

“We need to do one green thing today and it will lead to another," Lorraine Kimsey, fundraiser committee member, said. "We all looked around our homes and found many items to donate for sale. This way everyone could buy gently used items at bargain prices.” 

The sale will fund the Trinity’s building and grounds fund that helps maintain the more than 160-year-old church.

The items that are not sold will then be donated to The United War Vets Council. 

One person’s junk is another’s treasure, so to continue the “go green” concept, the following day (June 3) worship service will be held on the side lawn of the church at 10:30 a.m. A blending of Presbyterian and United Church of Christ and also Open and Affirming, the Warren church has used the outdoors as part of its services in the past.
