You Need To Know About Board of Utilities Hearings: When Hurricane Irene hit New Jersey last month, thousands of households were left without power—in Warren, nearly 2,000 went without power for five days. Criticism of the response by utility JCP&L was swift and sharp, and now the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities is investigating the repsonse by the utility companies—the hearing began Monday in Manalapan and continue at 4 p.m. at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy, 500 West Hanover Ave. in Morris Plains.
