Boys, Girls Basketball and Swimming on Tap

You Need To Know Varsity Games: If you know a student-athlete at Watchung Hills involved in winter sports, then they're probably playing today. The school's bowling and girls basketball teams are on the road, traveling to Franklin and Gill St. Bernard, respectively, while the fencing, swimming and boys basketball teams are hosting. The swimmers are taking on Ridge, and the fencers and hoopsters are facing Gill St. Bernards.

You Need To Know Natural Art: Toddlers can try their hands at creating art from nature at the Environmental Educational Center at Lord Stirling Park at 10 a.m today. Kids from infancy to 5-years-old can use paint, clay and even found items to create something.

You Need To Know 'Moby Duck': A simple question about missing bath tub toys by writer Donovan Hohn turned into a book project, involving world-wide interviews and discoveries, which he documented in "Moby Duck: The True Story of 28,800 Bath Toys Lost at Sea and of the Beachcombers, Oceanographers, Environmentalists, and Fools, Including the Author, Who Went in." Join a Pop Culture Book Discussion on the book at the Bridgewater Library at 7 p.m.

You Need To Know Living Strong: The Berkeley Heights YMCA, at 550 Springfield Ave. in Berkeley Heights, hosts a special Livestrong workout program for people recovering from cancer at 1 p.m. The exercises will help with recovery, and are offered free.
