Warren Set to Step Up for Valerie Fund

Series of events planned to benefit The Valerie Fund.

Nathan has since been successfully treated, and DiBari is moving forward to make sure other families who go through what his did know how valuable is.

"The Valerie Fund takes care of the here and now—the present," DiBari said. "They provided life-saving care close to our home, so that we could maintain our family unit. They provided emotional support to the whole family because when Nathan was sick, the impact extended to all of us. They helped us make the right treatment decisions, and answered our many, many questions.

"They came at the right time, in the right place and the right form—it was our 'daily bread,'" he said.

Those reasons resonate with many who have turned to The Valerie Fund's centers when their children are diagnosed with cancer—and why to the fund as one of her signature projects for 2012.

A seires of events this month are aimed at raising $100,000 for the fund, including the May 18 program, fundraising walks at Warren schools May 11, the , and more.
