Watchung Hills Regional's Homecoming Tonight

And Mt. Horeb students can test out their Halloween costumes.

You Need To Know Homecoming (for real!): OK, due to some miscommunication in September, we had prepped everyone for Watchung Hills Regional's Homecoming. The real Homecoming is today, and the football team will take on Plainfield Hgh School at 7 p.m. at Tozier Field.

You Need To Know Scary Schools: Mt. Horeb School PTO is hosting a Halloween Party from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., with DJ'd music, crafts, games and refreshments. For just $5 per person (maximum of $25 for a family), enjoy a slice of pizza, drink and chips.

You Need To Know Brite Nites: Wagner Farms Arboretum's Brite Nite continues through the weekend, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. For a $10 adult admission, $7 for seniors and kids, enjoy a walk through the Children's Garden with hundreds of jack-o-lanterns, or venture into the Haunted House and meet Dr. Frankenstein and his monster and other figures.

You Need To Know Star Parties: Area amateur astronomers will want to head to Union County College's Cranford Campus at 7 p.m. tonight for viewing deep space objects thorugh the school's Sperry Observatory. The event is free and organized by New Jersey Amatuer Astronomers.

You Need To Know Sunday Jazz: Uproot Restaurant will host a special jazz afternoon Sunday, with Warren and Allan Vache, Randy Reinhart,  Dan Levinson, Vinnie Corrao and Neal Miller in concert. Tickets are $18 ($15 for WBGO and NJ Jazz Society members), and reservations are required.
