Winter Weather Closes School ... on Saturday

Forecasters call for up to 4 inches in Somerset County.

A winter storm moving through the area tonight and tomorrow is predicted to drop as much as 4 inches of snow.

The snow isn't expected to interfere with Saturday's Yuletide Bonfire, set to begin at 6 p.m. in the ballfields behind the municipal building. Check back for any changes in the schedule for the bonfire.

But the weather has closed Watchung Hills Regional High School. The school hosts many events on Saturdays, including a German language school and the Murray Hill Chinese School, which have been canceled.

The school was also scheduled to host a wrestling quad meet with Hillsborough, North Hunterdon and Franklin, which has been rescheduled to Jan. 28.
