Watchung Hills High School Opening Day Event: "Heroes, Hope and Honor"

Please join us in the Watchung Hills Regional High School Performing Arts Center at 8:30 am on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 for our Opening Day Program. This year, we are proud to present, Heroes, Hope and Honor featuring our two guest speakers, Joseph Fiordaliso, a former educator and Commission of Public Utilities for the State of NJ and Captain Philip Weiss, a first responder to the World Trade Center on 9/11/01.

Captain Philip Weiss, an EMS responder to the World Trade Center, will help us commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the 9/11 Terrorist Attack on the World Trade Center by sharing his experience with us. Captain Weiss is on the Board of Directors for the World Trade Center Rescuers Foundation and is currently a Nassau County fire-fighter. Both speakers present a future world of hope with a responsibility to each other and our fellow man.

Teachers from our Arts and History Department will be collaboratively presenting a tribute to 9/11, ten years later, as we remember the heroic actions of many who helped our nation through that most difficult time. A gallery display will be exhibited in our Atrium.
