Jazz Concert Kicks Off Libraries' Free Series

Long Hill Library to host trio featuring Jerry Vezza Feb. 24.

Jazz pianist Jerry Vezza will lead a free concert at the Long Hill Public Library, when the Wharton Music Center kicks off its Library Concert Series at 2 p.m. Feb. 24. Vezza wil be joined by Tom DiCarlo on bass, and Eliot Zigmund on drums.

The trio will play jazz standards and original music. The concert is free and open to the public.

  • March 10 at 2 p.m.: Dyad Meets Puccini featuring Eric Olsen, piano and Lou Caimano, alto saxophone presenting a jazz twist on a classic
  • March 24: Classical Duo featuring Mikhail Kuchuk, violin and Luba Vasilyeva, piano

Concerts to be held at the Library of the Chathams include:

  • April 27 at 2:30 p.m.: The American Songbook and Other Swingin’ Soundsfeaturing Joel Perry, guitar, Frank Noviello, vocalist, and Rick Crane, bass
  • May 11 at 2:30 p.m.: Classical Harp featuring Diane Michaels, harp
  • June 8 at 2:30 p.m.: An Afternoon of Broadway’s Best with Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim featuring vocal quartet Jamie Baer Peterson, Ken Magos, Karen Cantor, and David Cantor, vocalists
