New State K-5 Math Standards Subject of Warren Twp. Schools Presentation

Parents of students in all elementary schools invited to learn about new state 'Common Core' standards and textbooks.

Parents of students in kindergarten through grade 5 in all Warren Township schools are invited to a district "Math Parent Meeting" at 7 p.m. next Thursday, Oct. 17, at the Woodland Elementary School, 114 Stirling Road.

The presentation by the Warren Township school district invites parents to come to learn about the new Common Core State Mathematics Standards, and also the new textbooks that were adopted by the Warren Board of Education to align with these standards. 

The presentation is open to parents of students in all elementary schools.

Parents can learn what math instruction in the classroom looks like; and also find out what they can expect to see at home. 

The evening will include a presentation, a display of materials being used, and time for questions from the audience.

This evening program is the same as presentations being held during the school day at each elementary school.
