Looking for a way to stay in contact with the local school district? Asking a question, sharing an opinion or offering ideas can be accomplished just by harnessing the power of your computer, tablet or smartphone: Warren Township Schools is on Facebook.
Crader said the district has taken to social media "to strengthen two-way communication between the school and the community." To that end, she said Warren residents age 13 and up are encouraged to participate by sharing their thoughts about the page and by contributing ideas and opinions on school issues and programs.
"Based on your feedback, we will adjust our content and style to meet the needs and match the interest of our community," she said.
The superintendent outlined the page's first offerings:
- On Fridays each week, the page will feature a question for parents to discuss with their children.
- On the first Monday of each month, the page will offer a column called Librarian’s Corner.
- The Facebook page will present regularly updated progress reports on the school district's Strategic Plan.
- Warren school event announcements will appear on the page, and once the events are over, photos will be posted.
Crader said plans are in the works for staff and student highlights, contests and more.
