Bagel and Grill Ready to Open in Green Brook

New delicatessen will offer a place to enjoy fresh, early morning meals and coffee—as well as lunch.

After about six weeks of refitting a storefront on Route 22 across from the Crystal Automall, Al Ramadan and Tito Stitou are ready to open their Bagels and Grill delicatessen as soon as Monday.

And when they do, Green Brook will enjoy a new place to start the day, as well as have lunch—the 1,900 square foot shop will feature fresh coffee and bagels (with all the toppings you might want), along with free WiFi service, from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Final inspections are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, and after that, Ramadan said it's a matter of getting their vendors in and to begin making the fresh bagels they will offer ( and need 24 hours before cooking).

"Everything is going to be fresh, nothing is frozen," he said, so a little prep time is needed before their opening.

The restaurant will feature a variety of lunch sandwiches, hot and cold, pannini and quesadillas, and steak and burgers. If you're looking for a fresh breakfast, Bagel and Grill will offer your choice of breakfast sandwiches, as well as French toast and pancakes.

The delicatessen is the second location for Ramadan and Stitou, who also operate Natale's Deli and Catering, in Florham Park. They were looking at sites in the area when they found the empty storefront that offered plenty of room—but not too much.

As the business gets off the ground, Ramadan said customers can enjoy free coffee all next week.
