Business Partnership Extends Invite to Meet the Mayor

Public invited to evening session on Thursday, March 27.

The Somerset County Business Partnership will present the first in a series of four unique discussions with the Mayors of Green Brook, Bound Brook, North Plainfield, Warren, and Watchung on Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at Twin Brooks Country Club, 600 Mountain Boulevard in Watchung, NJ.

Soon to be scheduled are three additional sessions that will feature the other 16 Somerset County Mayors.

“Meet the Mayors” will allow representatives from area business and residents at-large the opportunity to hear from the Mayors representing communities in the northeastern portion of Somerset County.

The discussion will center on each of the Mayor's vision for community development and the actions that they plan to take to improve the fortunes of their citizenry while creating a growing and sustainable business climate. The Mayors have been asked to address that numerous opportunities that business representatives have to participate in their municipalities and influence that success of the Mayor’s initiatives. 

Featured Mayors include Mayor Patrick Boccio of Green Brook, Mayor Mark Hasting of Bound Brook, Mayor Michael Giordano of North Plainfield, Mayor Gary DiNardo of Warren, and Mayor Stephen Pote of Watchung.

“Somerset County is the statewide leader in planning for a strong and sustainable economic future,” commented Freeholder Director Patrick Scaglione. “Investment Somerset, our Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy recently accepted by the US Economic Development Authority, positions Somerset County and our Mayors, in a strong position to develop innovative programs that will be supported by the state and federal governments.”
