For the third year in a row New Jersey public and private elementary, middle and high schools have submitted choral pieces into the NJ 101.5 Christmas Choir Contest.

After a panel narrowed the field to the top 14 finalists, the radio station left the final choice for the listeners to decide.  Listeners submitted over 100,000 votes and the Watchung Hills vocal ensemble won the top High School choir category.  The High School is the winner of $1,000 which will be presented to the WHRHS Board of Education.  The monetary prize is made possible by NJ 101.5, Raab coins, Value City Furniture and Enlow Recital hall

Watchung Hills vocal ensemble is a volunteer cocurricular group open to auditions that meets before the school day from 7:00-7:25.  Angela DiIorio, director of vocal music at Watchung Hills had the following to say 'I'm thrilled at this opportunity to showcase the talent of my students to such a large audience.  I'm happy the rest of the state is now able to recognize and hear the work we've been doing at The Hills.'
