9/11 Attacks Claimed Local Lives

Seven people with Warren connections were killed in the attacks.

Among those killed in the attacks of Sept. 11 were seven people with local connections, including four who lived in Warren at the time of their deaths, and three who grew up in Warren.

Keith Coleman, 34, a senior vice-president at Cantor Fitzgerald, had moved to Warren just a little more than a year before Sept. 11. But in that short time, he had already made many friends in the neighborhood: kids who would ask him to throw footballs to them. He grew up in Westport, Conn., with two brothers. He attended Bucknell University, where he met his wife, Elodie. He was survived by Elodie, their children Vaughn McGuire and Neva Rae; his parents, Neil and Jean Coleman of Westport, Conn.; brother Todd Coleman of San Francisco; and nephews James and Paul Seyffart Jr. of South Plainfield.

Brian P. Dale, 43, was killed when American Airlines Flight 11 flew into the World Trade Towers. He was a co-founder of Blue Capital Management, where he supervised the company's accounting and investor reporting departments. He was survived by his wife, Luanne; their children Rachel, Russell and Jacob; his mother Mary; brother Kevin; and sister Lauren.
