Delayed Opening for Schools

Slow-moving storm causes unsafe travel conditions.

Warren Township schools and Watchung Hills Regional High School have declared delayed openings for Friday, after a slow-moving storm dropped several inches of snow overnight.

Classes at Watchung Hills will begin at 9:30 a.m., Warren Middle School classes will start at 10 a.m. ALT will start classes at 10:10 a.m., while Central, Mt. Horeb and Woodland schools will start at 10:40 a.m.

The storm had been predicted to arrive on Thursday, and Somerset County closed all senior centers, including Warrenbrook Senior Ceneter, in anticipation of problems. So far, no announcement has been made regarding the center for Friday.
