Eric Aerts Receives Manufacturing Group's 'Black Belt' Award

New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program, Inc. presents award to seven field agents.

Eric Aerts, of Warren, was among seven New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program, Inc. Field Agents awarded the NJMEP Black Belt in Innovation Engineering (IE).

In addition to the Field Agents, Anthony DeSantis, vice-president of Strategic Alliance/Products & Services and Robert Loderstedt, president and CEO also received their certification.

The Innovation Engineering Black Belt Certification is awarded upon the completion of extensive training.

Other NJMEP Field Agents that received IE certifications includeJoseph Carotenuto, Karen Evanko, Joseph Martas, Joseph Mastrianni, Brian Reynolds and Robert Salamone. 

The Innovation Engineering Management System utilizes a broad spectrum of strategies, assignments, and web-based tools to generate customer-targeted innovations. It helps companies quickly assess risk and bring concepts to market in the shortest possible time and in the most cost effective manner. Its end product is a sustainable in-house culture of team-generated innovation.

The Innovation Engineering Black Belt Program, which was developed by NIST’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), in cooperation with Eureka Ranch and offered through nine universities including the University of Maine, consists of coursework, personal study and real-world implementation. Innovation Engineering Black Belts enable their clients to become better, faster and more successful at generating a flow of “meaningfully unique” new products, services, and processes.
