No Trick: Wear a Costume for a Cold Stone Treat

Cold Stone Creamery co-owner Abby Vesuvio-Bush had more on her mind that just her store, closed by the lingering power outage after Hurricane Sandy—her 5-year-old son was distraught at not having a chance to show off his Super Mario Brothers Halloween costume when trick-or-treating was canceled.

So she scheduled a "Halloween Do-Over" for 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the store to give kids—of all ages—a chance to show off their costumes.

"It's a chance for the kids to dress up and have some Halloween fun," Vesuvio-Bush said. "We wanted to give these kids a chance to don their costumes in a warm place."

She said the store will feature the Halloween music you might have heard Oct. 31 had anyone had electricity, as well as dancing and games.

Oh, and those wearing costumes can enjoy a "buy one, get one free" offer on the store's products (except cakes and novelties).

"We are hoping for a good turnout from the community tomorrow night," Vesuvio-Bush said. 

With that offer, the turnout could be frightening.
