Storm Coming and Jr. Warriors are Talk of the Town

Plus, there will be some new treats in town this month.

We asked our friends on Facebook what they're talking to their friends and neighbors about, and learned about a change coming to Warren's Cold Stone Creamery Shop.

But before we get into that, we know another topic that's sure to weighing on everyone's minds in the storm coming Wednesday night into Thursday, and it's threat of high winds and snow (and we all know what that can do...).

Forecasts call for about three or four inches of snow in the area, but up here on Watchung Mountain, it's not uncommon for forecasters to underestimate the snowfall.

School officials are telling residents there's a chance of delayed openings if the forecast is anywhere near correct. Unless it's a doozy, don't expect closures: no one wants to deal with the calendar issues that would cause.

We'll check around to see what's closed for you first thing tomorrow, so be sure to check back in the morning.

In the meantime, here's what some are talking about:

Abby Vesuvio-Bush, co-owner of the Cold Stone Creamery said they will be adding Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory products later this month. Can you say "chocolate-covered apple with pecans"?

Meanwhile, Chad Harter reminds everyone registration for Watchung Hills Jr. Warriors' football and cheerleading is underway.

"All football players play half the game—not just a few plays," he said. "The only way to get better is to play."

What are you talking to friends about—perhaps Friday's antibullying project organized by Watchung Hills students (don't forget to wear white on Friday to show your support)? Maybe the start of varsity spring sports...whatever it is, tell us in the comments box below.
